ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee on Tuesday appreciated by 03 paise against the US dollar in interbank trade to close at Rs 277.68 against the previous day’s close of Rs 277.71. However, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buy and sell rates of the dollar in the open market were Rs 278.50 and Rs 280 respectively. The euro fell by Rs 2.03 to close at Rs 308.63 against the previous day’s Rs 310.66, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese yen fell by 02 paise to close at Rs 1.92, while the British pound was down by Rs 1.73 to trade at Rs 370.39 compared to the previous day’s close of Rs 372.12. The Emirates Dirham was unchanged to close at Rs 75.60 and the Saudi Riyal fell by 01 to close at Rs 74.01.
