RAWALPINDI: Pakistan pacer-turned-batsman Mohammad Rizwan is entering a major milestone in his T20I career as Pakistan prepares to face New Zealand in a five-match series.
Rizwan surpassed Virat Kohli and Babar Azam’s record of fastest 3000 runs in T20I cricket, achieved in 81 innings each.
Rizwan, who has scored 2981 runs in 78 innings, needs only 19 runs in his next two innings to break this record. Achieving this feat will make him only the second Pakistani after Babar to reach 3000 runs in T20I cricket.
Also, Pakistan fast bowler Nasim Shah is approaching a major milestone in his international career.
With 98 wickets in 50 internationals, Shah is just shy of joining the prestigious 100-wicket club. His wickets are spread across formats, with 51 in Test cricket, 32 in ODIs and 15 in T20Is.
