SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: A representative delegation of Wana Press Club journalists met with newly appointed Commandant South Waziristan Scouts (SWS) Force, Muhammad Tahir, on Thursday. The meeting discussed the peace and order situation in Lower South Waziristan district and the suspended trade activities at Angoor Ada border.
Commandant Tahir emphasized that reviving trade activities on the Angoor Ada border and establishing peace in the area are among his top priorities. He highlighted the importance of sustainable peace for the developing society of the region and the need for brotherhood, sincerity, and cooperation.
He expressed his support for mutual trust and respect, saying, “Love is an essential part of our society’s values, and cooperation is indispensable for solving problems.” He praised the role of journalists in promoting peace and development, calling them the “eyes and ears of society.”
Commandant Tahir assured that he would bring the suspended commercial activities at the Angoor Ada border to the notice of IGFC South KP to improve the economic situation in the region. He emphasized the importance of working for the betterment of the entire region and the country.
The meeting concluded with the members of the District Press Club Wana congratulating Commandant Tahir on taking charge and assuring full cooperation.
