Tarbela Ghazi: Haji Jafar Ali Lala, a renowned and senior jeweler of Ghazi, the patron-in-chief of the Sarafa Union Ghazi, and a former Agriculture Officer, passed away at the age of 90 after a brief illness. His funeral prayers were offered on Thursday at 4 PM at the Ghazi Cemetery near Dak Khana Road.
The deceased was the father of Advocate Asad Iftikhar and Advocate Aurangzeb Mahmood and the grandfather of Patwari Hammad Mahmood Sheikh. A large number of people, including political and non-political figures, local dignitaries, officers and staff of the Revenue Department, Patwari officials, members of the public, social and religious circles, the legal fraternity, and the journalist community, attended the funeral in great numbers.
Haji Jafar Ali Lala had been suffering from a kidney infection for the past few days. He was taken to RMI Hospital in Peshawar for treatment, where he remained under medical care for seven days before passing away.
May Allah grant the deceased eternal peace and bestow patience upon the bereaved family. Ameen.
