Salman Khan fans can take a breath! Although the superstar missed Eid this year, he has announced a big project called Sikandar to make it. The film marks Khan’s first collaboration with ace director AR Murugadoss and the film is expected to start shooting in June 2024. Now the producers have announced the female lead – Rashmika Mandanna.
Sikandar is not just a high octane action sequence. The report reveals a powerful underlying story that turns into a dramatic and emotional narrative. The quality of the script is said to be the main factor that attracted both Khan and his leading lady Rashmika Mandana. The production house officially announced this news on its social network.
Rashmika Mandanna previously tweeted to X: “Guys have been asking for the next update for his age and here it is.. ❤️ Amazing!! #Sikandar.”
This marks the first collaboration between Khan and Mandana and sources say that producer Sajid Nadiadwala was deliberately chosen to create the new pair. According to reports, the script offers a well-written role for Mandanna, acting as an important catalyst in the film’s central conflict.
This meeting between Khan and Nadiadwala will thrill the fans. The duo has given several Bollywood hits in the past including Kick, Judwaa and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
Sikandar also marks the return of Murugadoss to Hindi cinema after an eight-year hiatus after Akira 2016. The makers are targeting an Eid ul-Fitr 2025 release for the film.
