Karachi: Rangers deployment to Karachi has been extended for another six months. Government of Sindh approved.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah approved the extension at a provincial cabinet meeting on Thursday. Sindh Rangers will continue to have powers under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The Cabinet also approved the establishment of an administrative body in place of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Sindh Building Control Authority. It also approved the addition of four new members to the Thar Coal and Power Board. These members include Shazia Mari, Education Minister Sardar Shah, Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro and Karni Singh.
According to the spokesperson, the Cabinet has cleared an area of 45,371 square meters in North Nazimabad, where the Bohri community wants to build a university.
