Peshawar: The provincial meteorological office on Monday predicted that a fresh spell of rain and snowfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is likely to continue from today to next Friday.
The authority informed that intermittent and heavy rains with snowfall in upper reaches and hilly areas are likely to occur till next Friday. These weather conditions will cause the mercury to drop in the upper reaches and also contribute to cooler conditions in the plains. Precipitation and snow are likely to occur in the upper reaches in the evening hours.
The weather in the provincial capital remained cloudy since early morning, the Met office said, adding that light rain is expected on Monday and is likely to prevail during this week.
On the other hand, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has informed the district administrations to ensure preventive measures to deal with any situation.
