LAHORE: More than 700,000 job seekers and more than 82,000 employers have been registered under the Punjab Employment Bureau, an initiative of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), in collaboration with the Labor and Human Resource Department (L&HRD), since its launch in August. 2022.
This emerged during a progress review meeting chaired by PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf here on Monday.
The online job portal available at jobcenter.punjab.gov.pk contains a comprehensive database covering a wide range of human capital from both public and private sectors. This includes skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled individuals, creating a dynamic platform for potential job seekers and employers alike.
The portal is designed to bridge the gap between job exchange agencies, promoters, workers and job seekers catering to the diverse needs of the labor market.
Chairman Faisal Yousaf in his remarks said that the Punjab Job Center is a step towards modernizing the labor market and making it accessible to everyone. “By bringing job seekers and employers on a single platform, we not only reduce barriers to employment but also ensure that the right talent meets the right opportunity,” he added. Candidates can also get the registration link by texting their National Identity Card number via mobile to 8900. The job office’s commitment goes beyond just registration as it actively maintains a large database of available manpower across Punjab.
