LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the Punjab government wants to empower women and promote gender equality.
She shared her message on the International Women in Diplomacy Day and said it was a day to recognize the outstanding services of women diplomats around the world.
The Prime Minister said it was a day to recognize the steps being taken for gender equality in diplomacy.
She said women diplomats play an important role in peace. Women’s leadership and perspectives create empathy and resilience in diplomatic efforts.
He said, women have equal opportunities in all areas of life.
Maryam Nawaz said that the government will empower women and promote gender equality because the development of the society is closely linked with the empowerment of women.
He acknowledged the contribution of women diplomats like Maleeha Lodhi of Pakistan in bringing good name to the country.
