The provincial government has approved a total of 15.73 billion rupees for various health-related projects. This includes 8.83 billion rupees for the establishment of the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology in Lahore and 6.88 billion rupees for the provision of specialized medical equipment.
Additionally, 9.6 million rupees have been approved for the feasibility study of the master plan for teaching hospitals.
The Punjab government has also cleared 7.49 billion rupees for the establishment of the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research in Lahore. Final approval of the funds will be given at a meeting of the Central Development Working Party.
