Dhudial: Punjab Food Authority Chakwal has released its Annual Performance Report for 2024.17,000 food points were inspected, and fines were imposed on 2,300 food outlets. Additionally, 38 food points were sealed until improvements were made, and fines amounting to 43 million rupees were deposited into the government treasury.
Cases were registered against 8 food points involved in adulteration and fraud. Around 10,000 liters of adulterated milk were disposed of, while approximately 1.8 million liters of milk were tested. About 33,000 kilograms of meat were inspected, and 2,000 kilograms of substandard meat were discarded.
As per the vision of the Punjab government, providing quality food to the public remains the top priority, and strict and impartial actions are being taken to eliminate the adulteration mafia.
