PTV delayed salaries to secure Champions Trophy rights: Tarar
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Federal Minister of Information Attaullah Tara revealed on Tuesday that the national salaries (PTV) of the National Broadcasting of Pakistani Television (PTV) were delayed due to considerable payments made for obtaining the rights for the ICC masters. During the Briefing Committee at the Tarar National Assembly, this step justified this step and said that the government favored the availability of cricket for the public, especially in distant areas where the PTV Earth network is the only option. “Our goal was to ensure that every citizen, even in villages and remote areas, could follow the Masters ICC,” he said. “The publication of the PTV antenna allows people without the Internet or cable access to these matches.” The Minister acknowledged the resistance caused by a 21 -day delay of the salary and contrast with private channels where such delay lasts months. He also criticized the owners of private media for not paying employees in time, despite considerable industry incomes like real estate. Tara describes in detail the ongoing reforms within the PTV, including efforts to streamline their workforce and improve financial management. He emphasized the removal of 12 rehized pensioners who drew excess salaries and stated that the verification of employees would be completed by January 31. “The PTV previously worked on” never homeless “politics, where retired employees were hungry for high salaries,” he said. “Such ineffectiveness caused significant financial tension, but we take corrective measures.” The Minister also discussed the plans to increase PTV income by bringing the anchors of the private sector and motivating them to generate advertising income. He noted that PTV Sports, in particular, recorded increased income in the new government strategy. The Committee also considered the proposed change of Pemra, which includes the establishment of the Censorship Council for Dramas and advertising broadcasting on entertainment channels. Senator Converr Sehar Kamran suggested stricter supervision to ensure the content of the family. A subcommittee was created for consultations with parties involved in the television industry. Tara expressed optimism about the role of PTV in organizing international events and emphasized the preparation of the organization for ICC Champions Trophy and other sports companies. He revealed plans to involve cricket legends such as Shoaib Akhtar and Shoaib Malik, in the PTV comment panel to increase the involvement of the audience. “Our goal is to strengthen the sports profile of the PTV and give viewers the highest coverage throughout Pakistan,” he said. The Minister also emphasized a wider improvement in the institutions of state media, including the elimination of ghost staff and streamlining pension systems in Radio Pakistan. Despite the challenges of Deht, he claimed that the government to acquire ICC rights was a step towards ensuring a widespread approach to sport. “For the first time in Pakistan, main sports events are held in Pakistan,” he said. “This initiative will help combine a nation and promote cricket in every corner of the country.” ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Tickets now on sale Tickets for ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, which take place in Pakistan with Indian matches in the United Arab Emirates, are now sold from today. Fans can now secure seats for the group phase matches and the second semifinals in Pakistan. Members of the ICC family will receive early access through a two -hour priority window. General tickets will start from 1,000 RS with premium options from 1,500 RS across matches in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi. Physical tickets will be available from 3 February in designated TCS Express centers in Pakistan. Details of the ticket for Indian matches in UAE (20, 23 February and 2 March) will be announced early. Fans can also register for updates. Tickets for the last match, scheduled for March 9, will be available after the first semifinal in Dubai. The head of the ICC sales director Anurag Dahiya emphasized the importance of the Pakistan tournament because he has been organizing his first global cricket event since 1996. With newly upgraded stadiums and available tickets, it promises an exciting cricket accessible to fans of all age groups. Sumair Ahmad Director of the tournament stressed that the competition will offer an unforgettable experience and every match has a high betting. The “All On Line” marketing campaign, which contains cricket stars like Hardik Pandya, Mohammad Nabi, Phil Salt, Shadab Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi, then stimulates excitement.
