LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has officially submitted a fresh request to the Deputy Commissioner Lahore for permission to hold a public rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on October 5. The event is planned to commemorate the birth anniversary of PTI founding leader Imran Khan and the party has requested that the rally be held from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
According to the filing, PTI has assured that all participants will strictly follow legal protocols and follow all necessary regulations during the rally. The demand was made by PTI Punjab Senior Vice President Akmal Khan Bari, who emphasized the significance of the event in celebration of the party’s founder’s birthday. The party is seeking permission to hold a rally at the Minar-e-Pakistan, a historically significant site, and hopes the authorities will approve a peaceful celebration.
