RAWALPINDI: PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that efforts are underway to file a fourth case against the founder of the party in connection with Toshakhana.
He said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was working against the PTI founder.
Speaking to reporters outside the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Barrister Gohar cited the PTI founder and said he should apologize (not the other way around). He (the founder) condemned the May 9 violence and said there was a need for a judicial commission to investigate the matter.
PTI founder said he will engage in dialogue instead of dialogue to improve Pakistan. He said personal interests will not drive this discussion. However, he lamented the lack of progress by the negotiating committee.
Highlighting the former prime minister’s concerns about tax collection and the HPG programme, Barrister Gohar said power should flow through democratic channels.
Gohar called on the judiciary to speed up the hearing of Iddat cases and give immediate decisions. He also mentioned plans to go to court over former interim prime minister Anwarul Haq Kakar’s statement on Form 47.
Party leaders echoed PTI founder’s concerns about protests against Azad Kashmir demands, showing patience and tolerance instead of violence.
He said that Rana Sanaullah’s statement (about PTI) confirmed his status.
