Islamabad: A delegation of All Pakistan Network Association (APNA) met Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Chairman Major General Hafeez Ur Rehman and provided invaluable insight and expert opinion on the proposed license template.
During the meeting, APNA officials shared their views and expressed their concerns about the CVAS licensing service segment in general. In addition, proposed changes to the license template are specifically discussed. The PTA had an interactive discussion with the delegates and asked them to formally send their comments to the competent authorities.
PTA believes in a collaborative environment for industry regulation and therefore advocates a consultative approach to intervention in the telecommunications sector. It should be noted that for this particular consultation on the proposed CVAS license template, all stakeholders participated actively in the process through face-to-face discussions and through written submissions within the specified period.
It is important to note that the ongoing consultation on the CVAS license template will be completed.
