Islamabad : The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Zonal Office Lahore, in close collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle, conducted a successful raid against PTML (Ufone) franchisee located at Khan Telecommunication, near UBL Ballo Khel Road, Mianwali.
During the raid, the FIA seized 1 laptop, 3 BVS devices, and 1 Mobile phone. In addition, 5,000 digital images of fingerprints from mobile phone of the owner were also recovered by FIA.
The owner of the franchise was arrested on the spot and an FIR has been registered by the agency. FIA Cybercrime Circle is further investigating the case. The raid signifies the Authority’s dedication to eradicating the illegal issuance of SIMs.
