Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari called on Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Singapore to work on promoting bilateral trade and business ties with Singaporean companies, besides encouraging them to take advantage of Pakistan’s investment-friendly policies.
Addressing his invitees, the newly appointed High Commissioner of Pakistan, Mrs. Rabia Shafiq, the President expressed the need to explore the possibility of exporting Pakistan’s food and agricultural products to Singapore. Also, Pakistani poultry, meat, seafood, etc. He said, that by exporting processed food products, Singapore can become a sustainable food source.
He also stressed the need to find ways to export the labor force in Pakistan to Singapore and work to develop bilateral cooperation in the fields of Information Technology and Agriculture.

The President congratulated Mrs. Rabia Shafi on her appointment as High Commissioner of Pakistan and wished her productive and professional success in Singapore.
