PESHAWAR: Zia ul Haq Sarhadi, a prominent businessman from Peshawar and President of Frontier Custom Agents Association (FCCA), has been appointed as the Special Coordinator of Special Issues for the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO).
Candidate Zia Sarhadi was announced by the Federal Tax Ombudsman Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah (Recipient of Hilal-e-Imtiaz and Sitara-e-Imtiaz) during his visit to Peshawar.
Addressing the Peshawar business community at the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), FTO Dr. Asif Mehmood Zia said that Sarhad was given the honorary title for his services in promoting trade and commerce in the region. to solve the problems faced by the business community.
According to the FTO secretariat, Zia Sarhadi will interact with local chambers of commerce and industry, trade associations, market associations and general trade organizations on issues related to exemptions.
He will also present to the appropriate counsel for the FTO the issues, problems, disputes and problems of regular cleaning agents and will take proactive steps for immediate redressal.
The coordinator will look for ways to improve the efficiency of FTO Custom Matters, as well as the relevant tax machinery, and develop and improve the relationship of the FTO office with relevant business groups, stakeholders and other organizations.
It may be noted here that Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi has been appointed as FTO Honorary Press Officer for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also served two terms as an advisory board member of the FTO Secretariat.
Zia Sarhadi thanked FTO Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah to honor and said that he has decided to serve as a bridge between the business community and the Secretariat of the Federal Tax Ombudsman to improve business relations.
