Serving humanity in distress is a great act of worship. The involvement of educated and talented youth from regions like Lower Dir in the field of medicine not only contributes to the development of the area but also stands as a shining example of public service. These views were expressed by the central leader of Pakistan People’s Party and former senator, Ahmed Hasan Khan, while addressing the inauguration ceremony of Clinical Hematologist Dr. Uzma Rahim’s private clinic in Timergara, Lower Dir.
He said there was a time when Lower Dir lagged significantly in the field of healthcare, and the residents had to travel to hospitals in Mardan and Peshawar for medical treatment. However, now these young doctors and healthcare specialists are providing modern medical facilities within their own communities, making life easier for the people. Their role, especially in such underprivileged areas where access to quality medical treatment is challenging, is commendable. He further added that this passion is not only a service to humanity but also spreads light of hope and confidence in society. He stated that the establishment of Clinical Hematologist Dr. Uzma Rahim’s clinic in Timergara will facilitate the treatment of blood-related diseases, including anemia, thalassemia, hemophilia, ITP, leukemia, myeloma, lymphoma, and other complex conditions, at the doorstep of the community, which is indeed a praiseworthy initiative.
