Taxila: Consultation meeting was held at Kohistan Secretariat Taxila, convened for all PML-N NA-54 and PP-12 PP-13 workers. The attendees were briefed on the prevailing situation, highlighting the seat adjustment issue with IPP in this constituency. Consequently, the party refrained from issuing ticket for the National Assembly seat. Despite PML-N having candidates in two provinces, IPP violated agreements in both constituencies by fielding candidates with a distinctive sign.
The IPP’s National candidate has initiated campaigns for both provincial candidates. Given these circumstances, the workers were summoned, and the situation was presented to them. After thorough deliberation across the constituency, the workers unanimously expressed their refusal to support any party or individual involved in the national government.

The opposing candidate had contested elections in both provincial constituencies, criticized our leadership, and urged voting in the national constituency.
In response to these developments, on 14th January, it has been decided, in response to the strong demand from PMl-N workers, to nominate Barrister Aqeel Malik as an independent candidate for the National Assembly seat. He has announced his candidacy for the upcoming election as an independent candidate on the Clock symbol with the support of local PMLN voters.
