ISLAMABAD: Senator Ishaq Dar, a former finance minister for Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), stated that the party has a comprehensive plan to lead the country out of its current economic dilemma.
Speaking to a private news channel, Dar said that the PML-N’s achievements between 2013 and 2017 were recorded in history and that Pakistan’s emerging economic power status was a result of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s outstanding economic policies.
“Pakistan was going to be a second-choice place for foreign direct investment.” In response to a question on the performance of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), he stated that the 16-month PDM government’s only goal was to prevent Pakistan from defaulting, which we were successful in doing.
Dar cites a study from the global financial organization Bloomberg that claims the PML-N has produced the strongest economic results in the previous 20 years.
He continues, “Going forward, we will carry out every single recommendation in our manifesto because of the strength of the people and a two-thirds majority.”
