Marking May 9 (Black Day) as one of the darkest days in the country’s national history, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the uprising was a deliberate act of violence by politically minded and brainwashed criminals. they destroyed state institutions and sacred symbols of the state and national heritage sites.
Following the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan last year, violent protests and riots broke out across the country, particularly in garrison towns.
For this reason, he added, no agreement could be reached with the planners, facilitators and perpetrators of the May 9 riots, and no review of the land law would be allowed.

The ISPR said that this action was an unconscionable and futile attempt to bring about a far-reaching revolution in the country.
