The federal government has raised petrol prices by $4.53 per liter for the next two days in line with rising global oil prices.
The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) increased by $8.14 per liter to $290.38 per liter, the finance department said late on Monday.
The new fuel price will be effective from April 16.
In addition, the government increased the price of kerosene from $6.69 per liter to $193.8 per liter. Similarly, the price of light diesel rose by $6.54 to $174.34 per liter.
“Oil prices have been rising in the international market for two days. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has set consumer prices based on the drop in prices in the international market,” he said.
