Peshawar: The Peshawar region trials for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Games 2025 will start from February 4 in different districts. Players under the age of 22 can participate in 16 men’s and 12 women’s games in the trials.
In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Regional Sports Officer Kashif Farhan, in which District Sports Officer Peshawar Gul Rooh Yasir, District Sports Officer Khyber Awan Hussain, District Sports Officer Charsadda Mashal Malik, District Sports Officer Nowshera Zakaullah and District Sports Officer Mohmand Faisal Javed participated.
In connection with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Games, a meeting of the Peshawar region was held at Tahmas Khan Stadium on the instructions of Director General Sports Abdul Nasir, in which it was decided that the Peshawar region trials will be held in two phases. In the first phase, trials will be held in all districts from February 4 to February 10, while the final trials will be held in Peshawar on February 11 and 12, 2025.
On this occasion, full participation of players will be ensured so that the best players can be selected and the standard of sports in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be further raised. In which important decisions were taken regarding the trials of the Under-22 Games that ensuring full participation of players and playing our full role in making the Under-22 Games a success will be our first responsibility.
Men’s competitions include athletics, football, hockey, volleyball, basketball, karate, taekwondo, boxing, squash, table tennis, badminton, gymnastics, throwball, judo, wushu and handball. While women’s competitions include athletics, hockey, cricket, volleyball, basketball, karate, taekwondo, judo, netball, squash, table tennis and badminton.
