Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has informed about the injuries of four cricketers under the supervision of a medical team including Professor Rana Dilawaiz Nadeem, Dr Mumraiz Naqshband and Professor Javed Akram.
Fast bowler Arshad Iqbal will undergo treatment at ASPETAR, a renowned hospital specializing in orthopedic and sports medicine in Qatar. Appointments and travel arrangements will be finalized after Eid al-Adha.
Ihsanullah, the right arm fast bowler, is currently suffering from a right elbow injury. He started his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and will continue his rehabilitation in his hometown Swat under the supervision of a physiotherapist approved by the PCB medical team.
Fast bowler Muhammad Wasim Junior, who suffered a back injury in the domestic tournament, was also treated at the NCA. He plans to continue his recovery program after the holidays.
Right-armer Zeeshan Zameer, who has suffered a boot injury, will undergo surgery in Qatar next week. ASPETAR recommended the operation after reviewing medical reports earlier this month. After the operation, Zeeshan can stay in Qatar for recovery.
