FAISALABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has updated the schedule of the ongoing Champions One Day Cup at the Iqbal Stadium. The match between Dolphins and Markhors, originally scheduled for September 17, was postponed to September 18 due to the Rabi-ul-Awal public holiday. The PCB has assured fans that tickets purchased for the September 17 match will be valid for the rescheduled September 18 match, without the need for exchange. The rescheduled match will be a one-dayer, with the toss scheduled for 9:00 am and the first ball to be played at 9:30 am. “Fans who purchased tickets for the September 17 match can use the same tickets for the September 18 match (no ticket exchange required), which will now be a one-day game with a 9am draw and expected first ball. will be played at 9.30 am,” the PCB said. The tournament, which began on September 12, kicked off the Mohamed Rizwan-led Markhors (formerly of Wolves) against the Shadab Khan-led Panthers. The final of the Champions One-Day Cup is scheduled for September 29. The 50 over 50 player tournament is played in a single league format. The five participating teams are led by notables: Misbah-ul-Haq (Markhors), Saqlain Mushtaq (Panthers), Sarfaraz Ahmed (Dolphins), Shoaib Malik (Stallions) and Waqar Younis (Lions). Champions One-Day Cup winners will receive PKR 30 million while runners-up will take home PKR 15 million.
