The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is grappling with significant challenges in finalizing the schedule for the upcoming Test series against England, leading to frustration among fans and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The original itinerary, which included matches in Multan, Karachi, and Rawalpindi, has been disrupted due to ongoing construction at Karachi’s National Stadium and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Islamabad, affecting both security and accommodation logistics.
In light of these disruptions, the PCB is exploring alternative venues and scheduling options, with potential considerations for the UAE or Sri Lanka. Despite these adjustments, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has assured that all matches will be hosted in Pakistan. A revised schedule is expected to be announced within the next 24 to 48 hours, aiming to resolve the current uncertainties and ensure a successful series.
