With 100% compliance for the past two years, the Pearl-Continental Hotel in Bhurban has been recertified by ISO-22000:2018 and HACCP, two prestigious international standards for food safety management.
The globally recognized ISO-22000 standard for food safety management systems offers a thorough framework to guarantee food product safety all the way through the supply chain. It emphasizes a comprehensive approach to food safety by covering the processes from primary production to consumption.
A methodical approach to food safety known as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) detects, assesses, and manages any risks at every stage of food production. HACCP was created in the 1960s by NASA and the Pillsbury Company to guarantee the safety of food in orbit. Since then, it has spread throughout the food industry as a universal standard.
The recertification audit was carried out by the internationally recognized TUV Austria and included careful review of policies, procedures, and documentation in addition to on-site assessments. During the thorough evaluation, no significant or minor non-conformity was found, demonstrating the team’s steadfast dedication to upholding the strictest food safety regulations.
Chief Operating Officer of the Hashoo Group’s Hospitality and Education Division, Haseeb A. Gardezi, commented on the excellent audit results, saying, “We have a longstanding reputation for exceptional service standards and commitment to excellence in all hospitality avenues.” Such humble praise will only strengthen our commitment and inspire us to work even harder in the future.”
Nadeem Chaudhary, General Manager of the Pearl-Continental Hotel in Bhurban, gave his comments on the accomplishment: “We work hard to give our valued guests the best services possible and keep improving our systems and procedures to keep quality up to par with international standards. We appreciate your ongoing confidence and promise to keep improving our services in order to remain at the top of our game. We are honored to have received these recertifications.”
The team’s commitment was applauded by the auditors, who also praised top management’s environmental measures. Not to be overlooked was the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) project at Pearl-Continental Bhurban, which turns wastewater into organic fertilizer by treating and recycling it with live bacteria.
