Muzaffarabad: Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Uzair Ahmed Ghazali has said that Indian Army Chief General Upendre Dwivedi and Indian soldiers are committing war crimes against Kashmiri citizens in illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued to the media here on Thursday, he said that the world knows that since 1989, the hands of the Indian forces have been stained with the blood of over 100,000 Kashmiris.
He said that the Indian Army is committing the most serious war crimes in Occupied Kashmir, adding that the Indian Army abducted more than 90 thousand citizens of Kashmir from their homes and tortured them, killed them and buried them in anonymous graves.
Uzair further said that Indian terrorist soldiers martyred thousands of Kashmiri citizens in several incidents of massacre, including incidents in Bijbehara, Srinagar, Sopur, Kupwara, Handwara and many other places.
“Indian Army has turned Kashmir into a killing ground where Indian soldiers are martyring Kashmiri youth in fake encounters for the sake of reward and advancement”, he lamented.
“Since August 5, 2019, the entire occupied state is under the siege of one million soldiers and Kashmir is currently on the world map in the form of a prison”, he added.
He said that Indian gunmen are inflicting terror on innocent citizens at the behest of the Delhi government.
Ghazali said that the Indian soldiers in Kashmir are nothing more than terrorists in the eyes of the Kashmiri people.
Pasban-e-Hurriyat demanded the United Nations Security Council and international human rights organizations to take notice of the war crimes committed by Indian soldiers in Occupied Kashmir.
He also appealed the Amnesty International and Asia Watch and demanded that they must put pressure on the Indian government to release thousands of Kashmiri citizens imprisoned in Indian jails.
Uzair demanded that human rights organizations should play a role in ending Indian black laws AFSPA, POTA, TADA, UAPA and PSA in Occupied Kashmir.
He also appealed the OIC member countries to stop the Indian government’s imperialist actions of distorting the population ratio in Occupied Kashmir, turning the Muslim majority into a minority and dispossessing the local Kashmiri citizens.
Uzair has appealed to the Kashmiri people to thwart the cultural invasion by Bharatiya Janata Party and Indian soldiers in Occupied Kashmir.
“Peace and justice countries and organizations around the world should come forward and prevent Kashmir from becoming another Palestine because Indian imperialism is repeating Israel’s ambitions and operations in Kashmir”, he appealed.
Uzair Ahmed has demanded the implementation of the referendum resolutions for a durable, long-lasting and permanent solution to the problem of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
