NEW YORK: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Monday said that Pakistan wants peace in the Middle East. He said this while speaking to the media on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. “Israel is responsible for the genocide in Palestine. We want peace in the Middle East. We are giving all possible help to our Palestinian problems,” he said. He said climate change would also be a topic of discussion during the UN General Assembly session, adding that cooperation with friendly nations would also be strengthened. He also made it clear that Pakistan bore the brunt of the war on terror and ruled out any dealings with terrorists. “The problems with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have entered the final phase. Inflation in Pakistan has fallen to single digits, even Bloomberg praised Pakistan’s monetary policy,” he further informed. He also appreciated Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s planned meeting with the Pakistani business community in the United States.
