Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Sunday that if the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was not removed in 2017, Pakistan would now be among the G20 countries.
The PML-N stalwart told the media in Faisalabad, “The current economic crisis and inflation was not their responsibility. The opening of the Rescue Service marked service politics.”
He pointed out that Faisalabad, once called a village, has been converted into a city by the PML-N. The party also thanked for the construction of roads, hospitals, highways and universities in the city.
Controversial to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sanaullah said, “The policy of mutual discrimination started in 2017. We became the 30th largest economy in the world and this situation has reached the level of independence.”
He condemned the brutality, protests and anarchic politics that were going on, saying that such politics had no place in the country. He reiterated that Pakistan was founded on the principle of brotherhood and not hatred.
Commenting on the November 26 demonstration, Sanaullah said that no one from Punjab participated.
“People in Punjab prefer service politics because of chaos,” he said. Criticizing the leaders who brought people to the protest, he said there was no need for violence while fleeing.
In the social media reaction to the incident, Sanaullah claimed that the platform was harmful.
He also said the claim that 278 people died in the Nankana conflict in 2019 was revised to only 12 and was not true.
Sanaullah praised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for serving the common man.
JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur expressed hope that the issue related to Rehman would be resolved in the upcoming meeting.
