Bern: Pakistan and Switzerland have decided to maintain their collaboration in all areas of mutual interest. This occurred during the 12th session of Pakistan-Switzerland Bilateral Political Consultations in Berne.
Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe), led the Pakistani delegation, while Heinrich Schellenberg, Switzerland’s Assistant Secretary of State for Asia and Pacific, represented Switzerland.
The two sides emphasized the importance of bilateral political consultations in improving Pakistan-Switzerland relations. They talked about all elements of bilateral political relations and cooperation, including commerce and investment, security, and migration.
In Berne, the Additional Foreign Secretary also called on the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Alexandre Fasel and exchanged views on further strengthening Pakistan-Switzerland bilateral relations including in the areas of climate change, human rights, and development cooperation.
