Islamabad: Pakistan volleyball team secured a place in the final of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Nations Volleyball League after winning their fourth match against Kyrgyzstan at Liaquat Gymnasium, Islamabad.
Pakistan team won the match 3-0 with the scores of 25-18, 27-25 and 27-25.
Pakistan defeated Afghanistan 3-0 in the opening match on 11 May. Their second win of the tournament came against Sri Lanka on Sunday May 12 when the team thrashed their opponents 3-0.
The third game was against Turkmenistan on May 13, which they won 3-1.
Despite reaching the final, the Pakistan volleyball team will play another group match against Iran on Thursday, May 16.
The first match of the day was between Sri Lanka and Iran and Sri Lanka won 3-0 after the team won all three sets 25-22, 25-17 and 25-21.
Meanwhile, the second match of the day was played between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. Turkmenistan won the match 3-1. Afghanistan won the first set and the Turkmenistan team won the remaining three sets. The scores of the four sets were 18-25, 33-31, 25-17 and 25-17.
