ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and the Maldives decided on Thursday to improve their bilateral ties and look into ways to work together more closely, with an emphasis on commerce and environmental projects.
The President of the Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, spoke with Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar over the phone on the bilateral relations.
A news release from the Prime Minister’s Office stated that the goal of the phone conversation was to follow up on the topics discussed during their meeting that took place on December 02, 2023, in Abu Dhabi, outside of the 28th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28).
The two parties discussed throughout the talk their willingness to promote regional cooperation in order to advance peace and development in South Asia.
