He also assured the Prime Minister’s Climate Assistant of technical and non-technical support to build policy infrastructure and implement it to create an enabling environment for several potential sectors such as cement, waste, textiles, oil and gas, telecommunications and information technology. produce and sell carbon credits in the international carbon credit market.
Both parties agreed to work together to sell carbon credits to various industrial sectors of Pakistan in the international carbon trading market and generate financial returns.
“We are well aware of the huge economic potential that Pakistan’s carbon market offers to generate economic returns through the creation of carbon credits and the sale of carbon credits in the international carbon market,” he said.
The carbon market is an international trading system where carbon credits are bought and sold to offset greenhouse gas emissions by buying carbon credits from organizations that eliminate or reduce their emissions.
