Islamabad: Officials of the United States and Pakistan held an inter-sessional meeting on the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA).
In his speech, the spokesman of the US Embassy, Thomas Montgomery, said that various areas to improve bilateral trade and investment relations were discussed.
He said ties like TIFA are key to advancing the common goal of strengthening bilateral economic ties.
The press secretary said that more than eighty US companies are currently operating in Pakistan and supplying high-quality goods to the Pakistani market.
He said, the United States imports Pakistani goods worth five billion dollars, while US-Pakistan trade is seven billion dollars.
