ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Scrabble Association (PSA) has named a 10-member team to feature in the World Youth Scrabble Championship and Asian Youth Championship.
PSA Youth Program Director Tariq Pervez informed that the World Youth Scrabble Championship will be held from 6 am to 8 am in Sri Lanka, while the Asian Youth Scrabble Championship will be held from November 10 to 12 in India.
He said in this regard the Lucky One Scrabble Championship, which was to select players for the World and Asian Championships.
Pervez said young Arshman Qazi won the open category while Baashir Baig finished second. The most exciting event of the day was the qualifiers to select the Pakistan team for the World Youth Scrabble Championship and the Youth Asia Championship,” he said.
The Pakistan team consists of Affan Salman, Aehzam Ahmed, Bilal Asher, Ahmed Salman, Manaal Asher, Muhammad Yadaan, Muzammil Hassan, Ashir Adeel, Manhamah Mukarram and Syed Maaz. Pervez expressed hope that a corporation would come forward and sponsor a team that has a strong chance of winning the title.
