ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy ATR aircraft from 29th Anti-Submarine Warfare Squadron participated in Mavi Balina-2024 multilateral exercise in Dalaman, Turkey.
Exercise Mavi Balina-2024 is Turkey’s multinational Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) exercise involving more than 30 platforms, including ships, submarines, aircraft and UAVs, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Public Relations (Pak Navy) here Tuesday.
The exercise was conducted in the Eastern Mediterranean and aimed to practice submarine operations and ASW procedures. Naval and air forces from Türkiye, NATO, USA, Pakistan, Greece and Special Operations Force (SOF) teams from Turkey and Azerbaijan participated in this multilateral exercise.
“The Pakistan Navy is a regular participant in the Mavi Balina exercise. Interaction between Pakistan and other participating navies during the port phase included mutual visits, table discussions and planning meetings. The extensive marine phase culminated in detailed analysis sessions,” it said.
“Pakistan Navy’s active participation in the exercise underscores its unwavering commitment to foster relations between two brotherly countries, Pakistan and Turkey, and strengthen ties with leading navies.
These joint commitments enhance interoperability, provide mutual training opportunities, and contribute to resilience while protecting common interests and promoting peace throughout the region,” the press release said.
