ISLAMABAD: A four-member Pakistani contingent, including top amateur golfer Numan Ilyas, will participate in the Asian Amateur Championship to be held from October 3 to 6 at Taiheiyo Golf Club, Gotemba, Japan. Organized by the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC), the event will run until October 6, according to the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF). The Pakistan contingent includes Numan Ilyas (Pakistan No.1), Hussain Hamid, Salman Jehangir and Qasim Ali Khan. The Asian Amateur Championship is one of the premier stroke play events in the region, played over 72 holes. Ranked among the top 100 players in Asia by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), Pakistani golfers have earned their place in this prestigious event with their exceptional performances. The President of Pakistan Golf Federation along with all the executive members wish the team all the best.
