Islamabad: The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has disbursed $1,000,000. 78 billion among more than 74,00,000 beneficiaries across the country under the Benazir Guarantee Scheme.
Payment of $10,500 quarterly tranche (January-March) of the Benazir Kafaalat scheme continues throughout the country.
Till 4:00 PM on April 04, Rs. $78 billion has been disbursed to more than 74,00,000 beneficiaries of the Benazir Guarantee program, which is 79 percent of the total beneficiaries,” he said.
The payment process is taking place across the country including Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, to pay 1,000,000 USD. 10,500 per family among more than nine million income households.
Beneficiaries are advised to collect the full payment through the nearest bank agent/representative and contact the toll-free number 080026477 or the nearest Tehsil office.
In addition to the Benazir Kafaalat scholarship payment, education scholarship payments are held throughout the country. According to official sources, special Ramzan grants were also given to beneficiaries in various areas.

A special control room has been activated at the BISP headquarters for immediate redressal of the grievances of the beneficiaries.

BISP officials have been directed to ensure that Guarantee payments are made free of charge to respective women.
Officers have been directed to monitor the payment of fees and take immediate action against agents responsible for deductions from beneficiary fees.
BISP currently supports 9.3 million deserving families and is a lifeline for those facing economic hardship. The Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) Program, also known as the Benazir Guarantee Program, is a flagship initiative of BISP and was launched in 2008. Since its inception, the UCT/Kafalat initiative has grown into the largest single remittance program in Pakistan’s history.
