Islamabad: Expelled PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat has claimed that among those visiting PTI founder Imran Khan in jail, only one is a lawyer, while the other nine are there to manipulate him.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Sher Afzal Marwat stated that out of the ten lawyers who visit Adiala Jail, only one is actually Imran Khan’s lawyer, while the rest go to fill his ears with misleading information.
He challenged that these so-called lawyers are rarely seen in any court as actual legal representatives. “I challenge those prominent lawyers who appear on media—except for one or two, none are actually representing PTI’s founder. Instead, they have turned into messengers and intermediaries,” he added.
He further claimed that these lawyers spread false reports to Imran Khan, with one telling him that someone has given a statement against him, another confirming it, and a third validating the claim through so-called sources.
When asked if Imran Khan believes such claims easily, Sher Afzal Marwat replied, “These people understand Imran Khan’s temperament well and manipulate him accordingly.”
It is noteworthy that two days ago, PTI expelled Sher Afzal Marwat on the instructions of Imran Khan for violating party policy. In response, Marwat shared a lengthy post on social media, stating that he would accept the party’s decision without asking for any reconsideration.
He also asserted that while he has always remained loyal to Imran Khan and PTI, he will never compromise on his principles. “Being loyal to the party doesn’t mean blindly accepting every decision. Instead, we should strive to ensure that the party follows the right path,” he stated.
