World number one Novak Djokovic defeated Tallon Greekspur to reach the Geneva Open semi-finals on Thursday.
Djokovic received his entry card into the ATP 250 tournament in his bid to qualify for the French Open, which starts on Sunday.
The 37-year-old beat his Dutch opponent 7-5 6-1 and will face Czech Tomas Machak in the last four.
Djokovic saved four sets from 0-40 down in the 10th game before breaking the world number 27 and holding serve to secure the set.
In the second set, which lasted only 25 minutes, he served three times to become the oldest semifinalist in the history of the Geneva tournament.
“I was lucky to find some really good portions and play really good tennis from that point. The second set was really good.”
The 24-time Grand Slam champion will head to Roland Garros after defending the French Open.
The Serbian will begin his campaign against French card Pierre-Hugues Herbert in his second Grand Slam of the year.
