ISLAMABAD: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has said that the claims of Indian rulers about normalcy in India’s illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJ&K) are far from reality; instead, since August 2019, the damage has increased in the area.
Speaking at the Hyhama meeting in Kupwara, Omar Abdullah said that in fact there is no stability in IIOJK and there are people, citing recent attacks and killings in Rajouri, Poch, Srinagar and other areas, Kashmir media reported. he is in dire straits.
He said, “We are told that after the abrogation of Article 370, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed immense development, but that development is not visible on the ground.”
“Not only is the condition of the roads appalling, power outages and hikes in electricity rates have made people’s lives miserable,” he said.
The NC leader said that this parliamentary election is an important election for the people of Kashmir and they can speak to New Delhi and the rest of the world by voting.
