Beijing: A new air cargo route connecting China’s Guizhou and Pakistan’s Karachi, opened on May 28, will further strengthen trade ties between China and Pakistan.
According to the China Economic Network (CEN), the journey begins with the departure of all cargo planes carrying 6 tons of cargo, including clothing, electronics and various goods.
After a flight time of about six hours, the plane reached Karachi. According to Guiyang customs office, the cargo of blue crab from Pakistan will return to Guiyang.
Co-launched by Guizhou Civil Aviation Industry Group Co., Ltd. and China Logistics Group (China Logistics Group), this area will be held three times a week, including hardware, clothing, electronic accessories and products. etc.
The airport is significant as the first direct link between Guizhou and Pakistan, as well as the first air cargo route connecting the province to the country’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Officials believe the new route will help establish Guiyang as a freight distribution hub in southwest China and help reduce the time it takes for Pakistan’s high-quality fresh products to reach Guizhou. The opening of the Guyang-Karachi air transport route is expected to facilitate trade between the two regions.
