Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and party chief organiser Maryam Nawaz cleared on Sunday in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) scrutiny.
Sources divulged that at the NAB headquarters in Islamabad, the special cell had been established with the assistance of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
All the PML-N leaders had been cleared by the NAB cell. The scrutiny of the candidates of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and other political parties was underway.
According to the law, those who had done plea bargaining and other convicted candidates were not willing to take part in the elections.

Separately, Marym Nawaz’s nomination had been submitted on Sunday from six seats in the upcoming general elections.
Maryam Nawaz’s nomination papers had been submitted from NA-119 and NA-120 in Lahore.
Her nomination papers had also been submitted from PP-80, PP-159, PP-160, and PP-165.
