ISLAMABAD: A national seminar titled “Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah: Mir-e-Karwan” was held on the occasion of the father of the nation’s birthday organized by the National Language Promotion Institute. The event was presided over by Dr. Amjad Saqib, Founder Akhowat Foundation and Chairman Benazir Income Support Program. The chief guest was Professor Dr. Habib ur Rahman, Chairman Board of Governors, Shifa International Hospital Islamabad. The guest of honor was Mr. Afrasiab Mehdi Hashmi, former ambassador of Pakistan to various countries. Professor Dr. Sajid Mehmood Awan, Director National Institute of Historical and Cultural Studies, Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad expressed his views. Director General, National Language Promotion Institute Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar thanked the guests. Executive Director Dr. Rashid Hameed delivered the welcome speech. Dr. Amjad Saqib said on this occasion that Quaid-e-Azam laid the foundation of Pakistan according to his vision.
Thank God that we had personalities like Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal, otherwise Pakistan would not have appeared on the map of the world today. Professor Dr. Habib ur Rahman said. That Sindh Madrasah-ul-Islam has a fundamental role in shaping the personality of Quaid-e-Azam. Afrasiab Mehdi Hashmi said that it is a gift from God for a nation to have a reliable leader. He said that the culture and lifestyle of Muslims and Hindus were different, due to which the two-nation theory came into existence. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah founded Pakistan on the basis of this ideology. Dr. Sajid Awan said that Quaid-e-Azam was without exaggeration a great leader. The young generation needs to be given correct and authentic information about them. Dr. Muhammad Salim Mazhar thanked the guests and all the attendees and said that we should appreciate our heroes. Today’s youth is the identity of Pakistan. We should not lose heart but should continue to strive for a bright dawn.
