However like the rest of the country the citizens are facing severe problems due to the immense crowd and low counters and slow work in the NADRA (national Data base and registration authority) offices and mega centers in Peshawar.
Different centers of NADRA are working in Peshawar city but despite that people who come to make ID card, form B and passport are facing problems besides the attitude of the staff posted in Nadara centers is very impolite especially with the less educated people. The women staff take advantage of the modesty of the village women and treat them with disdain which needs to be taken notice of by the higher authorities.
On the other hand the staff coming in the second shift also arrive late due to which the all day long waiting exercise being wasted. Therefore, there is a need to make these useful mega centers a blessing for the people instead of a burden for that the most important factor is to give moral training to the staff working in these centers so that they know that women and How to communicate with elders.
As the rural population of Pakistan is mostly illiterate or semi-literate. Therefore, when they go to government offices they often do not understand the process and they are made to go round from one counter to another counter especially women are tortured a lot.
One of the solutions to this problem is that men and women volunteers should be recruited in NADRA to guide every incoming citizen and be present all the time in the waiting rooms so that work can be done with utmost calmness and discipline.
Apart from that for the convenience of women, instead of one, two days should be reserved in a week so that four days can be processed for men’s cards and they can be freed from insults and scolding’s.
It is hoped that the higher authorities will pay full attention to that important issue and for their convenience, not only the above steps have been taken but also more counters will be established in which the number of in-charges sitting specially for verification has also been increased.
So those who process ID and Form B do not have to wait for hours. If online service is provided it will be a great help.
Note that NADRA is one of the best database institutions in the world, where the complete data of any citizen can be found by pressing a button, but despite such a good facility, not providing online service is a question mark.
If NADAR provides facility of easy payment of fee to citizens and verification of thumb through mobile scanner for the convenience of citizens, then at least the citizens who are already registered with NADRA will get rid of going around the offices.
It should be remembered that at present the biggest crowd at NADRA ID card offices across the country is the citizens coming for renewal due to which the parents coming to make fresh ID card and form B being embarrassed. However, a revenue-generating organization like NDRA can also provide home service for which a fee can be collected from citizens.
Such as in the neighboring state of India, New Delhi, where a representative of the organization arrives at the doorstep to make a passport or identity card. Due to which the citizen’s time is not wasted and it becomes easy for the government to verify any person.
If this service is provided by the government in every union OR neighborhood council then the rush of useful institutions like NADRA can be eliminated.
For this purpose, gadgets like mobile number or easy paisa account verification can be provided which will not cost the government but by offering a small commission every customer care center can buy this gadget.
The government has to do only monitor that who is using which device. In this way the process of fake ID card processing will also stop and the income of the organization will also increase.
