LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has said that the condition of farmers in Punjab is dire and the provincial administration is a total failure.
A senior PTI leader said while addressing the media in Lahore that NAB should conduct an inquiry into the wheat crisis in Punjab.
“Punjab has become a police state. PTI won elections across the country including Lahore on February 8, but who voted is more important than who voted,” he said.
Senior politicians demanded the immediate release of detained PTI workers and leaders.
“May 9 is a staged drama and the people of Pakistan are burying it on February 8,” he said.
He said that they will protect the constitution of Pakistan and will visit Karachi to meet the media and other stakeholders.
The former NA speaker said on May 9 that all those responsible for the vandalism will be punished according to the law.
A senior PTI leader said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has not received any funds from the centre.
