Bollywood actor Chunkey Pandey revealed that his career was impacted by the presence of superstars like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Govinda.
Chunkey Pandey has carved a niche for himself in the Bollywood industry over the past three decades due to his stellar performances. However, the actor believes that the dominance of these superstars overshadowed his career.
In a recent interview with Indian media, Chunkey Pandey disclosed, “I entered Bollywood at a time when stardom was everywhere. In 1986, actor Govinda made his entry into Bollywood, and a year later, in 1987, I made mine. The following year, it was Aamir Khan, then Salman Khan, and in 1990, Ajay Devgn joined Bollywood. After that, more big stars came, but for me, the entire year of 1988 was fantastic, and then everything faded away.”
He further explained, “It was a time when many stars entered Bollywood together, but I don’t blame anyone. I take full responsibility for my career.”
Chunkey added, “I was young and eager to work. I was ready to take on any role just for the money, but if you do that, your career priorities change. There’s also a lot of luck involved.”
He concluded by saying, “If I were given the same life again, I would go through this process once more because I’ve enjoyed the ups and downs of my life.”
