Islamabad: Senator Mushahid Hussain expressed deep sorrow and grief over tragic death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions in helicopter crash.
Senators hailed President Raisi as “a rousing voice for Kashmir and Palestine” and called his death an irreparable loss.
In an interview with a private news channel, Senator Hussain said that he has a close friendship with President Raisi and Foreign Minister Hussain Amirabdollahian, whom he recently met at a conference on Palestine in Tehran.
He praised the late president and foreign minister for their support to Pakistan and paid respect to the country’s national poet Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
Senator Hussain highlighted the achievements of President Raisi, especially the normalization of relations with Saudi Arabia, and emphasized his efforts as a true partner of Pakistan.
